Welcome to the Multimodal Interaction Laboratory

The Multimodal Interaction Laboratory (MIL) studies how humans process and organize multisensory information to construct knowledge representations. We investigate these processes in real-life and virtual environments from the converging perspectives of information science, cognitive psychology, psycholinguistics, acoustics and signal processing.

The MIL was established in the Fall 2006 by Prof. Catherine Guastavino. It is affiliated with CIRMMT and SIS at McGill University. Our research is supported by grants from the CFI, FRQNT, NSERC, and McGill University.
